Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York

Criminal Record: Underage & Public Drunkenness

When I was in college (in PA) I received citations for underage drinking and public drunkenness. I'm currently filling out paperwork for employment and a question inquires of my criminal history. Are these charges on my criminal record? I remember them saying something about the charges being non traffic violations, and that they are similar to getting a speeding or parking ticket. I paid my fines and served my license suspension. I was just wondering if I should check the box I have no criminal convictions in any jurisdiction or I have been convicted of a crime (and explain).

The job I'm applying for is as a substitute teacher in NY, I'll need to be fingerprinted, but I was never fingerprinted in PA.
