Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York
My neighbor and i were at grocery store, i was feeling very very ill so i gave her $ for my stuff, and went home, she tried to shoplift everything in the cart by simply walking out w/o paying, and was caught, can they prosecute me also because i was with her in the beginning, but i was not with her when she was caught I was at home???

legally you are not guilty but if she claims that you two planned it together it is remotely possible for you to get charged.

It is not likely based upon the facts as described. However if a conspiracy is alleged,it is possible to be charged. It is highly inlikely you would however be convicted.
