Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York
my niece just got arrestted & is being charged with 2 counts of forgery 2 counts of presenting false info to a pharmacy & 1 count of having a controlled substance. i told her mom to get a legal aid ask the judge for rehab (instead of jail). mom says lawyer says she will end up in jail unless they hir HIM She needs and wants rehab. do you think a legal aid is enough, they dont have the $ for this lawyer. or do you think they must hire a good lawyer to keep her out of jail?
