Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York
order of protection
My son and his wife are going through a separation. His wife has an order of protection against him which expires in June. Since the order of protection was issued in March my son's wife will not stop calling him. She calls him at work, at my home, on his cell phone. She even e-mails me to give him a messasge. She hounds him for money all the time. Even though she initiates these calls and e-mails, is he in violation of the order of protection? We have caller ID but her number doesn't show because she calls from other peoples homes. What can be done here? How can he get her to stop calling and harassing him?
