Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York

Ready For Trial letter

How long does the District Attorney have to send the Ready For Trial letter to the person that was arrested? Is it 60 days, 90 days and is this time frame considered in business days or is it including weekends?

Thanks.

Re: Ready For Trial letter

the short answer is it depends, it depends on the case and the charge - for felonies it's six months for lesser charges, it's less time... it ranges by each charge.
