sealed and dismissed

i have a couple of charges on my record, and i want to join the army national guard. a couple of my charges need to be sealed and dismissed. how would i go about taking care of that? whos should i speak to?

It all depends, if the cases are open then you must hire an attorney to represent you in court.

If the cases are already closed they would then have to be reopened... A motion would have to be filed in order to request the open the case, they could potentially not grant it... You would also need to consult an attorney as well.

Ny does not have a sealing statute and a closed case cannot be dismissed.
