Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York
Sealed
Years ago, 1995, i was arrest for petty larceny , records where sealed but now the NYSOC is demanding the record be open, can they do this?

I am assuming you mean NYDOC. Either way, yes if they have good cause, they can make the motion to unseal the record, however they better have a really good reason, as I am sure that sealing was part of a negotiated plea.
