Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York

my son is being held at police precinct

my son was with 4 other friends after the parade tonite...two of the guys he was with beat up another kid and ran away. my son and his friend were pointed out by the kid that was beat up and they were taken in and being held at the precinct until tomorrow. i believe they are being held and questioned as to the identity of the two that got away....can I get a lawyer to get him out tonite??

You should retain a lawyer right away to stop any questioning. The police cannot just hold someone indefinitely. They need to make an arrest or let them go. Please feel free to contact my office if we may be of any assistance.

You should run and get a lawyer right away. At least stop the questioning. Even if they do not get out.

If you have not hired him an atotrney you shou do so now, more importantly the arraignment before the criminal court judge is something he should have an attorney for.
