Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York
I am a Y.O. and a college student. I want to get my real estate license in New York and I would like to know how thorough the background check is and if my file is sealed to them or not because I know that licensing comes from the state.

Youthful Offender status means that your record is sealed when you turn 18. It is so that you get a clean slate after you turn 18. You can tell them about the YO, it should not effect your getting a real estate license.
