Legal Question in Entertainment Law in New York
My group recently did an a cappella arrangement of a song in which we used vocal percussion and sounds to recreate the instrumentation to a song. I wanted to know we would need permission to include it in a demo or to add it on album?

If the song was an original, no. If the song was taken by another individual that wrote the music and lyrics, the answer would be yes.
