Legal Question in Family Law in New York

I have 50/50 shared custody of my son and he will be starting kindergarten next year I don't think we are going to agree on what school he goes to. I live in a much better school district does that make any difference with the courts.

The school district may be one important factor. The parents' work schedule, how close the parents to the two potential schools may also play a part.
