Legal Question in Family Law in New York

Custody of 16 year old son

I have joint custody and joint physical placement of our two children (14 and 16) My ex has informed me our son is staying there and it will be ''legal''. Can this be done without my consent or knowledge? He says I don't have any rights. There are no issues with my son and myself.

Re: Custody of 16 year old son

If your 16 year old son WANTS to live with his father "full time" and your son confirms, without prompting, to a third VERY TRUSTWORTHY RESPONSIBLE person, possibly a Judge, or "law guardian" that this is HIS (your son's) desire and and intention, then your consent and agreement, for him to spend more time with his father, than with you, is probably unneccesary.

Please note, in most of the world a 16 year old male IS considered to be a man.

Good luck,
