Daughter
My 19 year old daughter and her two year old son lives with me. She does not work, stays out all night and leaves her son without letting me know. she has stolen my car several times and even have taken money out of my checking account. She will not move out. When I called the cops about the car situation he told me I can have her legally removed. How does this process works and what are the steps I have to take.

A parent IS NOT legally obligated to support their grand child. However, a parent, is usually required by the Courts, to continue supporting their child until age 21, (the age of majority, in NY), notwithstanding their child having a child or whether their child lives outside of their home.
Therefore, you should PLAN the removal of your daughter and her child from your premises very carefully.
Suggest that you find other housing accomodations for your daughter and her child, possibly with the assistance of Social Services.
After you remove your daughter AND her child from your home, expect to make a monthly contribution for HER support (or rent/groceries, etc.), based upon the NYS support guideline percentage for one child.
Do not relent in insistence upon you living in your home, peaceably and without fear, for the health and safety of all your housholders. And, accept the idea that your daughter MUST now live her OWN life and travel her own road, without you; although for a short time more, with your support.
