Legal Question in Family Law in New York

divorce

i am here in the u.s. on a diplomatic visa. i recently divorced my wife. she lost her visa due to the divorce. she is attempting to sue me in a u.s. court. can she sue me in a u.s. court if she is not legally here? we do not have american children.
