Legal Question in Family Law in New York
i want to get a divorce before the end of the year. question is can i do it and not affect the custody case i already have.. and if i can get one is it too late to get it approved before the end of the year.. don't wanna bring in the new year like that .

In NYC, it is too late to have a divorce go through before the end of the year. You would generally need to allow at least 5 months. If you already have a court order regarding custody, you can include those terms in the divorce. http://www.NYCDivorceCenter.com
