Legal Question in Family Law in New York

The judge ordered me to pay arrears in support, for instance I was ordered to pay $500 a month til the arrears were paid off but Im only giving my ex $100, will I be held in contempt of court since I petitioned to modify her support?

Yes, the court can find you in contempt, but still decrease your obligation based upon your inability to pay. You should consider hiring an attorney.
