Legal Question in Family Law in New York

I live in New york and i am planning to marry a man that owes child support. Do I have to pay his child support if we get married?

You are not legally responsible for the support. However, your income in the marriage may increase or decrease his obligation based upon the formula used by the New York. NYC has a child support calculator he can use to determine how much his obligation will increase or decrease if you decide to marry. http://www.nyc.gov/html/hra/html/directory/child_support_calculator.shtml.
