money

my exhusband sold the house we lived in for 12 years after his father passed the house was put in his name and his brother and sisters name 5 years prior to his father dieing when he passed they recived the house and sold it my husband and i split 1 year prior to him selling this am i intitled to any of this with all the work and money i put in to it they recived 960thousand for it also at the time we were not legally seprated or divorced

A spouse is usually not entitled to any of the proceeds from the sale of an Spouse or Ex Spouse's "inherited property."

In addition, whatever claim or interest you may have had to recoup any contribution you made to the acquisition, maintenance or value appreciation, of the premises, was probably completely extinquished at dissolution of your marriage.

WHile generally you are not entitled to anything from inherited property i believe you mentioned that the house was turned over to your husband 5 years prior to the death of his father, this may make a difference and you may be able to recover money.
