Legal Question in Family Law in New York
Hi, I'm from NY and am filing an uncontested divorce by myself. There is no property or children to consider and my spouse is willing to sign the "Affidavit of the Defendant" submitting to jurisdiction. Its really cut and dry but the papers I downloaded from the county court has two forms, the "Summons w/notice" and "Summons w/verification of complaint" and from what I can tell I need either one or the other. Which one do I need to file if I have an Affidavit of the Defendant?

Since the spouse's affidavit generally states that he or she neither admits nor denies the allegations in the complaint, you would need "Summons w/verification of complaint".
