If a parent of a child has sole custody of that child does the other parent have to pay child support?

Normally, the court would order the noncustodial parent to pay child support.

Go to the NY State child support calculator to get an idea of the amount of child support, if any.

If the child is under the age of 21 years, the answer would be yes.
