Legal Question in Family Law in New York

I recently looked at my credit report and my brother has put cable in my name which has an outstanding balance of $400 dollars. i also have him on my cellphone account and he has failed to pay his half. what do i do?

If you didn't authorize the cable, contact the company and dispute the debt. Also, dispute the debt with the credit reporting agencies. Remember, if you pursue this, your brother may be sued and criminally prosecuted.

If he is not paying his cell phone as contracted, you can cut his cell phone off and sue him for the outstanding balance and any fees for prematurely ending service.
