Legal Question in Family Law in New York

I have been separated from my wife for 7 months now (not-legally, just physically) and she has continued to purchase itemsunder my name without my consent, as well as take all of my income tax money this past year. What can I do?

You need to either file for divorce or file for legal separation. The legal separation order or agreement may limit her actions. You may not have recourse to recover the income tax money unless you file for divorce or separation. However, for the next filing, if you aren't divorced, file married filing separately.
