Legal Question in Family Law in New York

State lines

I have a daughter with my ex who lives with me now...my new husband is being stationed to Florida....do i have to have permisson from my ex to move to florida with our daughter????

In order for a custodial parent to relocate, you will need either the permission of the non custodial parent or a court order permitting the move. If you don't have either, the court could change custody.

Relocation cases are very fact specific. You should consult with a lawyer for specific advice.
