Legal Question in Medical Leave in New York
Discriminatory Practice?
A corporate officer at my work took off 6 months of paid maternity leave. I am only getting one month paid maternity leave and two additional months. Is this discrimiantion?

It depends on the facts. Are you in a protected class (race, religion, etc.) that distinguishes you from your co-worker who received greater benefits? What does your corporate handbook say about maternity benefits? Did you ask for additional benefits and were denied?
