Legal Question in Medical Leave in New York

FMLA Hours

I am currently a full time employee. I was on disablity apx 1 year ago. I had a medical emergency with my father which required him to be hospitalized .

I was denied FMLA and was advised to me that I havent not worked enough hours to be qualified.My father has had 5 bypass and recently an stint placed in. my mother was out of town and my father needed someone to take care until she returned
