I am a documentary filmaker and use hidden cameras to capture events in public discreetly.
Are there anyl iabilities regarding my use of someones image without their consent if it is in a public space

Yes there is. You must get permission from people before publishing their picture. Otherwise, they can sue you. That is why you see faces blocked out on TV in some cases.
