I am an American and my Fiance is a Canadian. He has finished Medical school and wants to join the American armed forces but officer training requires US citizenship. What is the fastest way to gain US citizenship?

To become a lawful permanent resident (obtain green card). After that, being a permanent resident for a certain number of years (this period could be shorter for someone on active duty in the Army).
