Legal Question in Immigration Law in New York
Please Assist Me..... statutory limitation
Hello,
I am a citizen of Germany but due to the naure of my question I need an answer from an american attorney. I had a drug conviction and was arrested October 27, 1985 at the Kennedy Airport in New York. My Sentence was 27 months with a $20000.00 fine.
Release DEC.1988 and
Jan. 1989 ordered to deported from the US to Germany
I have had a clean record since my American conviction. After all this happened I changed my life's path and started a new life free of illegal activity.
Now ..I like to come back to visite
my friends in CA.
I am not that rich to pay this amount of money.
Please my Question ist ,after all this time 20Years ,do I have a change of statutory limitation?
thank you very much
I appreciate your answer
I. Cruz

Re: Please Assist Me..... statutory limitation
I am afraid there is no help for you. I assume that that conviction was not for a single possession of 30 gr or less of marijuana. It seems it was a drug trafficking offense which renders you inadmissible to the United States.
