Legal Question in Immigration Law in New York
My friend needs help!!
my friend came from guatemala to the us in 1993 at ten yrs old by adoptive parents resinding in the u.s.a. Now he just found out that his adoptive parents brought him here with false documents. he has to renew them and of course he will not do it scare that he could get deported what can he do to become legal in this country and is there any law that will protect him
please help!! we need help asap!

What documents are you referring to? A green card? If so, I do not really see the initial fraud as his problem. The problem is that he has accrued unlawful presence ever since he turned 18. You are right that he should be concerned about deportation. There are some forms of relief that he might be able to pursue, depending on the circumstances.
