Legal Question in Immigration Law in New York

Hi,

My situation is really weired and unique it seems. Previously i used work for an USA based company(New York based). They still owes me some $XYZ amount . Now i am staying in India. Whenever i ask them about my pending salary which they are due, they simply passing time by telling cock and bull stories.

Is there any way to proceed legally against them? If yes from where i can file the case against them India/USA? Kindly help me they owes me handsome amount of money,i cant even simply ignore.

I don't even know under which law i can sue them Immigration law or something else. Please help me.

You didn't explain on what visa did you work for that employer?

This seems to be not a matter of immigration law, but matter of employment law. However, depending on a type of visa, legal recourse can involve certain immigration matters.
