Legal Question in Immigration Law in New York

problems arrested

My Cousin Was Arrested With a Fake ID , and Some Fake Credit Cards ,trying to purshace something in a store , he is an inmigrant from dominican republic and he recieved his working Authorization card , and a social security # , he is suppost to go to a Meeting for the residence , they gave him two charges , one 3rd Degree for fake Credit cards , and 4th degree for the fake id , at time he was arrested he gave fake name and fake address , Will this affect him alot in his immigration status ? Should he go to court the day he gots to go , what can he do ? his date with the Inmigration officer for the interview is the 20th next month , and the court date is the 7 , what can he do ? he is also only 18 years old with no criminal background. this happend in New Jersey. he lives in NY

The crimes will affect his immigration case. At the interview he will be asked if he was ever arrested for a cirme. He has to disclose the arrest. Your cousin should seek legal representation.
