Legal Question in Immigration Law in New York

i have been in the process of trying to get my husband to the u.s for three years now...he was here illegally for over 10 yrs...left on his own free will....and after he left we were married in italy one yr later...i went through the whole process with the i 130 and his interview at the consulate in naples...he was denied due to his overstay...i have one child with him now and one on the way because through the three years i have gone back and forth to italy to see him...i filed the i 601 waiver at the beginning of april 2010...this month...and a letter of hardship containing various doctors letters a psychological report ... supporting letters and so on..it was filed in the rome office or will be and i wanted to know what the estimated wait time may be...i'm due to have my baby in july and though chances are slim , i'd really like to know the time frame i'm looking at...and also ..i haven't gotten an email or letter stating they have received my application...and they also haven't cashed the check i sent for the application fee.how will they notify me ? thank you

Unfortunately, I-601 inadmissibility waivers filed at Rome District Office could take approximately 2 years. This is how long it was taking in 2009. Rome office is very busy because it processes waivers from many other European countries, not only Italy. For current processing times you can contact the Rome office.
