Legal Question in Immigration Law in New York

Hi i am a student visa holder here in the united states. And i have been scammed. Is it safe to file a police report? Thanks

Yes holding a student visa will not prevent you from filing a police report. Your status in the US is lawful so you should have no fear what so ever. I actually encourage it as if you are subject to deportation it may qualify you for another visa.
