Legal Question in Insurance Law in New York
validation of vehicle property damage for collection
I received a letter in the end of august stating final notice on paying for vehicle damage from 12-03-03. I send a letter to validate this debt. I was notified again that this was not a debt and fell under ny vehicle financial security act. I was told I had until 10-10-06 to pay this debt. It was also noted that the debt has until 12-03-06 before it is expired. What are the next steps? Can I have this validated by the collection company? CAn I have suspended until the statue of limitations runs out?

Nothing, not even the debt valiadation, can suspend any lawsuit.
