Legal Question in Employment Law in New York
I was recently fired from my job, I was employed at an establishment that hosted children's birthday parties. After my boss fired me she informed me that they would be keeping my last pay check because the parents of the birthday child complained that the pizza was served cold, and she had to reimburse the parents for the pizza's. So my question is, Can she legally withhold my pay check or are there any legal ramifications that I can possibly take in order to obtain my check?
