i rent a section 8 hud apartment house for about 10 years,my landlord sold the house last month.i got a letter from the new landlord welcoming me as a new tenent.in the letter saying if i am late with my rent after 8 days their is a 50.00$ late fee also the new landlord raise the other tenents rent by next month.i thought landlord have to give you aleast 30 days notice of raise rent,and could a new landlord inpose a late fee if it not included with hud /landlord lease aggrement.ty

A new landlord can not alter the terms of an existing lease. If you are a month to month tenant he needs to give 30 days notice to tenant and HUD. You should notify HUD.
