Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in New York
Im in the process of moving out of the house I rented for 6 yrs. The first 2 yrs with a lease the last 4 without. I dont have a eviction notice but the landlord is trying to force me out. As a "squatter" what are my rights?

You are not a squatter since you originally had a lease with the landlord.
As a month to month tenant you are entitled to 30 day notice terminating the lease. Furthermore, there is no self help eviction. The landlord must start an eviction proceeding for a Judgment of Possession and Warrant of Eviction.
