Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in New York

I signed an apartment lease and gave the 1st month and security deposit at 4 p.m. Monday. On Wednesday I found out I was losing my job and would not be moving. I went through a realtor for this apartment. I notified the realtor immediately. Can I get any or all of my money back? Thank you.
