in suffolk county, new york..... can a article 78 proceeding be filed from matters stemming from unresolved landlord tenant issues... including seeking damages over 25K?

Q. can a article 78 proceeding be filed from matters stemming from unresolved landlord tenant issues
A. An Article 78 proceeding is to review government decisions or a decision from an administrative court. If there is a landlord - tenant issue in Suffolk County involving damages over $25K, you would have to commence a lawsuit in New York State Supreme Court (not an Article 78 proceeding).
