Legal Question in Military Law in New York

Abuse on base.

the military husband's sergent is no calling the civilian wife and leaving harrassing messages on her phone telling her to get back to New York because charges have been filed against her. she went to stay with her mother in texas. is this even proper behavior or protocol for the sergent?

The military husband beat up his wife. She left him to go back to her family in another state. attempted to get her in trouble by saying that she hit him. he's claiming there are carges against her.

There must be formal charges, a first Sgt cannot do this. He could be in cahoots with your husband. If your husband has seen service in Iraq or Afghanistan, he might be suffering from PTSD. I am a veteran of Vietnam. Most of the people who I served with including myself suffer from PTSD. The first thing that they taught us was not to take out your aggression on your wife or kids.

Ask them to present you with the formal charges if there are any, so you can plan your defense if you are charged.
