Ive been having extremely bad migraines but i have not sought medical attention as i dont have health insurance. I never got the mans name but he offered me a ride as he was going to connecticuit where he lives he also mention how he had complained to owner about the sign previously. Yes, you can sue the building owner or we could seek a financial settlement from the building owner's insurance company.

You have a case. One of the difficult issues in these types of cases is the notice requirement. You seemed to have satisfied it here, perhaps.
It is imperative that we get the witness who helped so we may speak with him. Kindly contact me for a free consultation at 1(800)WE-FIGHT. We have convenient locations all over New York.
Yes, from what you describe, there is a claim. If the injury is not serious, and leaves no permanent scar, consider Small Claims court for a quick resolution. Otherwise, consult with counsel soon, while there may still be time to take photographs, investigate properly and make contact with your all-important "notice witness". Best, M.E. Zuller
