Legal Question in Personal Injury in New York
My husband is being sued for an accidnet that occurred more than 3 yrs ago. The complaint was filed w/Monroe Cty (NYS) 8 days prior to statute being up. What is the next step? How do we answer to the complaint?

Contact your insurance carrier, they should provide legal defense to you under your car insurance policy.

Contact your insurance carrier. If you had no insurance , retain private counsel to defend you.

Immediately notify your insurance company and send them a copy of the summons and complaint. They will assign an attorney to represent your interests.
