Legal Question in Sexual Harassment in New York

my wife has a co-worker that keeps harrasing her and now started touching her on her shoulders,back and butt. she has told him to stop and has told the boss, but the boss just shakes it off. im going to her job to have a talk with this rat. but what else can i do legally ?

Lots, and by the way skip the talk, next time he touches her butt tell her to call the cops and have his ass arrested right at the job.

Get to an attorney right away. She has to file certain documents with the EEOC and let them do an investigation, then you can bring the suit in federal court. The suit can be brought against the company for the supervisors failure to act.

Your wife should file a formal complaint in writing to her supervisor and if he fails to act within 5 days, write to HIS Supervisor. Do this with the help of an attorney so as to make sure that the letter does not come back to haunt her later.

If she is being affected psychologically by the harassment, you should have her see a therapist or maybe if it is severe enough a Psychiatrist.
