Back Taxes
I am assuming that tax debt is not eliminated if the debtor files for bankruptcy protection; if so, is there a statute of limitations on accrual of fines and/or repayment of the tax debt?

If the debt is over 3 years old it may be eligible for discharge in bankruptcy. Check with a local bankruptct attorney.

Under cetain circumstances IRS tax debts which are more than three years old can be eliminated in a bankrucpty proceeding
