Legal Question in Traffic Law in New York
Can you receive a ticket solely based on a civilian photo?
I was driving in a nearby town yesterday, going perhaps 5 or 6 mph over the speed limit on a quiet, straight road. As I drove by one of the houses, a man took a photograph of me & my vehicle. Can I receive a ticket from this if he sends this to the police? He was not a police officer, nor did he have a radar gun.
Thanks.
