Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in New York

I'm buying a house and I found that in contract of sale is misspelled seller's name. My attorney told me that's not important, but I have doubts. Who is right ?

The deed must have correct spelling.

If this bothers you, get a letter from the Seller or the attorney for the seller, amending the contract to the correct spelling.
