Deceased beneficiary

One of my beneficary's just died.

Will her heirs now get the money I left to her, or does it go back into my estate?

Re: Deceased beneficiary

It depends on the provisions of your Will.If you are concerned, you should consider rewriting your Will or signing a Codicil. If you present Will is silent on this matter and expresses no preference, the gift will be protected by New York's anti-lapse provision and go to the heirs of the beneficiary.
