Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in New York

Estate Lawyers Fees

What would be an average or typical fee for a middle-aged, middle-income couple to have drawn up the following: a) a will (not too complicated) for each spouse, b) a durable power of attorney for each spouse, and c) a living will for each spouse?

Thank you.

Re: Estate Lawyers Fees

IT IS ALWAYS DIFFICULT YO ESTIMATE A FEE SINCE WHAT MAY SEEM SIMPLE TO THE CLIENT MAY IN FACT BE COMPLICATED FOR THE LAWYER.

WITH AN INTERVIEW AND SUPERVISION OF EXECUTION OF THE DOCUMENTS AND MINIMUM CONSULTATION THE FEE SHOULD RANGE BETWEEN $400 AND $600.

Re: Estate Lawyers Fees

I agree that it is difficult to estimate fees with complete certainty. I would need to speak further with you to give you a quote. Your locality will also affect the price, that is, if you are in Manhattan, I would expect it would cost more than if you lived in Broome County. If I can be of further assistance, please do not hesitate to call or email me.
