Executor

What recourse do you have if executor will not give you a copy of will or accounting of deceased father's estate? Executor is also daughter of deceased. Father when living stated estate divided 3 ways to 3 daughters. Executor will not return phone calls. Deceased also stated will was to be probabted but was not by executor.

Speak to a Probate Clerk at the Surrogate's Court located in the county in which the decedent died. The Clerk will help you prepare a Petition for an Order of the Surrogate's Court for the person in possession of the Will to turn it over to the Court. You might consider hiring a lawyer for this purpose.
