find the lawyer that has the will

We think the lawyer my aunt used to make her will with ,retired, and we'd like to know how to find out if someone has taken over the practice

Your aunt, or you with her written permission, should communicate with the lawyer to determine if he has retired or with his office to find out where he is located, in order to get the information regarding location of the Will. If there is some doubt about the existence of the Will or its location, your aunt might consider preparing a new Will to eliminate the problem which would be encountered in trying to locate a Will under the circumstance you describe.
